This is a beautiful gun. Color case is very nice. Deep, deep shine to the finish. Checkering is very nice. Etching is very nice. However, I had to send the gun back to the manufacturer for repair. It was repaired to my satisfaction. The person I dealt with at the manufacturer was very nice. The trigger is nice at 4 lbs or under. Sights are nice. Gun shoots to point of aim. I have fired 100 rounds through it without a failure.
Stunning gun, what a solid piece. Craftsmanship is second too none.
I purchased it at presque isle gun shop. It is the first 45 caliber that i own. Let me start by saying what a very beautiful, and elegant looking handgun.I never seen anything like it. Thats just the cosmetic part. As far as mechanical and firing it, im in love. It operates beautifully. Sights are dead on target, very little recoil. Straight out the box, very impressive. Box also came with a gun sleeve, oiled wipe down rag, etc. Everybody asks about it, nice conversation peice. Money well spent. Standard manufacturing will get more business from me. Im very impressed. Thank you .
This is my 3rd Standard mfg 1911, the quality is the BEST in the business and customer service is just as good, oh and the guns shoot better and more accurate than any 1911 I have ever tried!
What a fantastic gun. I picked mine up last week and it is exquisite. The case coloring looks 10x better in real life than any of the pictures. I chose not to get the engraving because I feel it takes away from the case coloring and I upgraded to the ebony walnut grips which are stunning. The coloring on mine is beautiful; it's almost too nice looking to shoot. The FFL I used for the transfer carries many higher end 1911's and they were very impressed by the fit-up of all the parts. There isn't any play in the slide and it racks like it is on ball bearings. As impressed as they were with the fit, everyone was more impressed by the case colored finish. What a beauty. I shot it for the first time today and it is a joy to shoot. The first 20 rounds shot out the bull's eye at 10 yards. My only complaint is that the fit of the bushing is so tight that a bushing wrench should have been included with the gun. I had to purchase a Kimber tool before I could field strip the gun. If you are on the fence about purchasing this 1911, just do it; you won't regret the purchase.
Just received the Color Cased 1911. Absolutely beautiful! The guys at the gun shop were drooling over it!
The only improvement I would make (or option) for this gun is a "nitro blue" trigger.
Sweeeeet trigger. Another stunner from the guys at Standard Mfg.
I own and shot several of the "ultra high end" 1911 .45 caliber handguns. Les Bauer,Wilson Combat, Republic Forge,Springfield,Kimber among others. The Standard Manufacturing 1911 belongs in this group of manufacturers. The quality of build and accuracy are incredible, beyond that are the unique looks. Beautiful!! Five stars and beyond!! One of my favorite weapons!!
