Jorge Moggia

JORGE MOGGIA

MASTER GUNSMITH

Mr. Moggia was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and graduated from the IPECIFO Institute in Buenos Aires. He began work with his father who was a barrel maker in Argentina which opened shop over 70 years ago under the name of Canones Moggia, and was a leading producer of rifle barrels in Argentina. He then began making Mauser action rifles with these barrels which were sold domestically and overseas. In 1997 he came to the United States and was with PTR Industries for 8 years as a gunsmith on their line of automatic and semi automatic rifles based on the Heckler & Koch design. Today at Standard, Mr. Moggia is a Master Gunsmith producing our Single Action revolvers.
