SSR

Announcing the SSR, the most powerful double rifle ever devised. This is the most powerful sporting rifle available now. Limited Daily Production.
SSR, a game changer.
Standard Manufacturing has come out with a powerful sporting double rifle for dangerous game hunting. Never before in history has this much firepower been available in one compact unit.

US Patent # is 9,115,954. This is also a registered trademark of Standard Manufacturing.
How is the SSR Different from the DP-12?
While the SSR and DP-12 may appear similar at first glance, they are two completely different firearms built for very different purposes.
Purpose-Built for Power: The SSR is a sporting double rifle designed specifically to shoot slugs and saboted slugs with exceptional accuracy and stopping power. You can shoot any standard 12-gauge load, but this platform was engineered for heavy-duty use in demanding hunting or defensive scenarios.
Rifled Barrels: Both barrels on the SSR are rifled, giving it superior accuracy with slugs compared to the smoothbore barrels on the DP-12.
Precision Barrel Regulation: A front muzzle support allows the user to dial in and adjust the point of impact, a feature not available on the DP-12.
Customizable Firing Modes: The SSR includes a selector switch, allowing the shooter to fire both barrels at once or one at a time—offering flexibility and control that sets it apart.
Heavy-Duty Construction: The SSR is built to handle intense recoil. It features upgraded internal components and a significantly heavier frame than the DP-12.
High-Grade Receiver: The SSR's receiver is machined from a solid block of specialized pre-hardened aluminum billet and then hard-anodized—ensuring unmatched durability and longevity. The DP-12 uses a different platform and material construction.
Clearly Marked: The firearm is officially marked “SSR Standard Manufacturing” so there is no confusion in identification.

Specifications & Construction
6. What caliber is the SSR?
The SSR is designed to shoot slugs and saboted slugs, but it will handle any standard 12-gauge load.
7. Can it shoot 3" shells? What about shorter shells?
Yes, it can shoot 3" shells, though doing so may reduce magazine capacity. It can also fire shorter shells depending on the specific ammo—always verify compatibility.
8. Why can’t I fit 7 shells in the magazine?
Some slugs labeled “2 ¾” may be longer due to crimping or shell design, reducing the magazine’s capacity.
9. What is the gun's weight and length?
The SSR weighs 9½ lbs. It measures 29½” in overall length with an 18¾” barrel.
10. What is the finish on the receiver?
The receiver is hard coat anodized for durability and corrosion resistance.
11. Is the recoil excessive?
Not at all. The SSR’s spring-loaded recoil system and overall weight make it highly manageable.
Barrels, Safety & Controls
12. Does the SSR fire both barrels at once?
Yes, the gun can fire both barrels simultaneously.
13. Can I choose to shoot one barrel at a time?
Yes, you can select individual barrels using the selector switch.
14. How are the barrels regulated?
The front muzzle support features user-adjustable regulation to fine-tune the point of impact.
15. Can I shoot mixed loads like slugs and shot?
Yes, the SSR is designed to accommodate mixed ammunition types.
16. Can it handle two simultaneous slugs?
Absolutely. The SSR has undergone rigorous torture testing with proof loads to ensure reliability and durability.
17. What type of choke system does it use?
Each barrel comes with a factory-installed choke tube. Threads are visible 2½” from the muzzle if a tube is missing.
18. Can I use aftermarket choke tubes?
Yes, and we also offer optional door breaching tubes.
Design & Durability
19. How is the SSR constructed?
The receiver is machined from a solid billet of pre-hardened 775 aluminum for strength. Barrels are made from 4140 steel, and shrouds are reinforced nylon. All interior components are crafted from steel or aluminum for maximum longevity and performance.
20. Why is a pump-action preferred over semi-automatic?
Pump-actions are more reliable with inconsistent shotgun shell tolerances. The SSR’s design allows easier cycling of irregular shells.
21. Is the SSR ambidextrous?
Yes. It loads and ejects from the bottom and features safety buttons on both sides of the receiver.
22. Where is the safety located?
Dual safety buttons are located on each side of the frame for easy access.
23. Can I mount a sling?
Yes. It includes a front strap mount and multiple rear sling swivel attachments compatible with 1” slings.
